Top results in IMSA racing at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

PAGID Racing is looking back on a very successful weekend in IMSA racing at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario Canada. Mercedes-AMG Team Riley Motorsports secured victory in the GTD category in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race, PAGID Racing customers celebrated a quadruple victory in the GS category and a 1-2 finish in the TCR class.

Mercedes-AMG Team Riley Motorsports had a great weekend in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with strong driving from Jeroen Bleekemolen and Ben Keating. The #33 Mercedes-AMG GT3 outdueled some strong competition throughout the weekend to secure the victory in the GTD category. It was the first victory of the season for the Bill Riley led organization that is a longtime partner of PAGID Racing in North America.

Great performances by the PAGID Racing customers, especially by the Ford Mustang GT4s in the Conti Race on Saturday: The KohR Motorsports #60 Ford Mustang GT4 (Kyle Marcelli, Nate Stacy) took another victory in the season and is now leading the championship points in the GS category. The AWA racing team finished second with drivers Brett Sandberg and Martin Barkey in the #80 Ford Mustang GT4 with a strong showing in the race. The Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 with starting number 33 completed the podium for the first time in IMSA competition with drivers Damien Faulkner and Russell Ward. The #7 Ford Mustang GT4 of Volt Racing (Trent Hindman/Alan Brynjolfsson) finished in fourth position.

In the TCR Category, first and second place went to teams trusting in PAGID Racing brake performance. Tom Long/Britt Casey Jr drove the #77 Audi RS3 LMS TCR run by Compass Racing on first place. JDC-Miller MotorSports ran a strong second with drivers Michael Johnson and Stephen Simpson in the #54 Audi RS3 LMS TCR.

The next IMSA round will be taking place at Lime Rock Park, 20-21 July, 2018.
