Thrilling battle for Global Mazda MX-5 Cup title16. September 2019 -
The 2019 Global Mazda MX-5 Cup is entering its decisive stage. With only two races remaining, six drivers still have a chance of claiming the title in the hotly contested one-make series. Fans can look forward to a thrilling season finale at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (20-22 September).
After the last two races at Portland International Raceway, Bryan Ortiz (#4 Copeland Motorsports) is leading the drivers’ standings at 221 points. With his victory in the second race at Portland, however, Selin Rollan (#87 Sick Sideways Racing) also underlined his title ambitions once again. With a total of 210 points, he is only eleven points down on the leader. Third-placed Robert Stout (#28 McCumbee McAleer Racing) is at 197 points going into the major season finale, followed by Robert Noaker (#13 Sick Sideways Racing, 190 points), rookie Michael Carter (#08 Copeland Motorsports, 184 points) and Drake Kemper (#99 Sick Sideways Racing, 173 points) in fourth, fifth and sixth place respectively.
Meanwhile, the champion in the ND1 classification has already been crowned: during the most recent round at Portland, John Dean II (#16 Sick Sideways Racing) already wrapped up the title in the category of Cup cars of the previous generation.
The final two races of the Global Mazda MX-5 Cup (Rounds 11 and 12) will be held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, 20-22 September.

A great success in the TCR Asia Series: Luca Engstler defended his title and is the TCR Asia Series champion again. His teammate Diego Morán rounded out the 1-2 in the drivers’ standings for Liqui Moly Team Engstler with his second place. Success in the Green Hell: Class wins and podiums at the Nürburgring 24 Hours27. June 2019 -
PAGID Racing partners and customer teams performed strongly at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. They claimed six class victories in total at the 47th staging of the endurance classic on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. The race was an eventful one, dominated by penalties, Code 60 phases, and the retirement of many of the favourites. Second place overall rounded off the strong showing in the Eifel Mountains.

Norbert Michelisz took victory in the opening FIA WTCR race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. The BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse driver made a good start, moving to the front of the field in the first corner, before defending his lead for the rest of the race: After three laps of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the 34-year-old Hungarian crossed the finish line in first place in the #5 Hyundai i30 N TCR to claim his first win of the season.
