Worldwide: Victories in FIA WEC and in the 24H Series

What a year for Aston Martin Racing in the FIA WEC! After its Pro class victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the team went on to win the drivers’ and teams’ titles in the GTE Am class. Hofor Racing’s victories in the 24H Series also largely contributed to making 2017 a successful year for PAGID Racing.

PAGID Racing partner Aston Martin Racing secured the prestigious Pro class win at the 85th 24 Hours of Le Mans. After a faultless race, drivers Darren Turner, Jonny Adam and Daniel Serra crossed the finish line in first place with the #97 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE. Breaking all GTE race and qualifying lap records the team showed an outstanding performance throughout all sessions. 


Aston Martin Racing also achieved a top result in the GTE Am class: the team clinched the GTE Am drivers’ and teams’ titles in the final round of the 2017 FIA WEC in Bahrain. The title wins crowned a strong season during which Paul Dalla Lana, Mathias Lauda and Pedro Lamy racked up seven pole positions and four wins with the #98 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE.

Hofor Racing showed an outstanding performance in the 24H Series. The Swiss team with its driver quintet of Michael Kroll, Chantal Kroll, Roland Eggimann, Christiaan Frankenhout and Kenneth Heyer won the overall drivers’ title as well as the GT teams’ category. First places in the categories Drivers per class (A6), Drivers per sub class (A6-Am), Drivers GT cars, Drivers ladies (Chantal Kroll), Teams per class (A6) and Teams per sub class (A6-Am) crowned the season. Moreover, Kenneth Heyer (PRO DRIVER) and Michael Kroll (DRIVER) won the 2017 Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Championship.
