Once again, Liqui Moly Team Engstler was the outstanding team in the TCR Asia Series in the 2018 season. The team celebrated a clean sweep of the top three in the drivers’ standings and also wrapped up the teams’ title. The Car Model of the Year award for Volkswagen was another success for the team. Luca Engstler is the new TCR Asia Series champion, he finished ahead of his teammates Mitchell Cheah and Diego Moran, who ended up second and third in the championship standings. In the previous year, the team had also won the drivers’ and teams’ titles.

At the start of the year, Luca Engstler had already caught the attention with a strong performance in the TCR Middle East Series. The German secured the drivers’ title in the season finale at Bahrain. His teammate Florian Thoma ended up in third place of the championship standings.
