Rally: Maximum Performance with the new RST 5
24. October 2017 -The new RST 5 is tailor-made for the challenging requirements of rally sports. On several occasions this season, the new RST 5 has proven to be the right choice for rallying success – for example in the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship and in the FIA World Rallycross Championship.
In the 2017 Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship, defending champion Cristian García, RMC Motorsport, already won three rallies with his Ford Fiesta RS, equipped with RST 5 brake pads. In the overall standings, the Spaniard is still in with a chance to secure a top position, as well as Pedro Burgo, ACSM, and Surhayen Pernia, RMC Motorsport, all trusting in PAGID Racing brake performance. And there are still two rallies to go: last event of Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship is Rallye Comunidad de Madrid on 24 November.
In the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship Mattias Ekström, EKS, already scored four victories with the #1 Audi S1 EKS RX Quattro this season. However, the Swede’s hunger for success hasn’t been appeased at all: in the season finale in South Africa (10 November), he is aiming to add the fifth win of the season.
New RST 5: The Revolution in Rally Braking
The new RST 5 is specifically designed and developed for rally racing and comes in a variety of established pad shapes in rally sports, especially in WRC and Group R.
