PAGID Racing and Euroformula Open continue their successful partnership. In 2022, the braking specialist from Essen in Germany will again be the exclusive brake pad supplier for the popular single-seater race series.
Euroformula Open is a thrilling platform for single-seater racing. All Formula 3 cars competing in the race series have been equipped with PAGID Racing brake performance. The young drivers are participating in the races with the Dallara F320 with PAGID Racing brake pads.
In the 2022 season, the Euroformula Open race schedule includes seven events in Europe. Following the winter test days in Barcelona (16-17 March), the first race at Estoril in Portugal on 1 May marks the season kick-off. Next up are the races at Circuit Paul Ricard (France, 22 May), in Spa (Belgium, 19 June), at the Hungaroring (Hungary, 10 July), at the Red Bull Ring (Austria, 11 September) and in Monza (Italy, 25 September). The season finale will be held at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Spain) on 16 October.

A 1-2 for PAGID Racing customers in the FIM Sidecar World Championship: Pekka Päivärinta/Kirsi Kainulainen clinched the world championship title while Tim Reeves/Grégory Cluze were runners-up. In other categories, teams were also successful with PAGID Racing brake performance.

A great success for Aston Martin Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC): in the season finale at Bahrain, the team sealed the world championship titles in both the GT Pro teams’ classification and in the GT drivers’ standings.

Victory for Mattias Ekström in the drivers’ standings and first place in the teams’ classification – that is the successful record for PAGID Racing partner EKS in the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship. Prior to the season finale, Mattias Ekström had already secured himself the drivers’ world championship title. Together with team-mate Toomas Heikkinen, he also sealed the title in the teams’ standings for his outfit during the season finale.

PAGID Racing is sole brake pad supplier for all Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Global Cup Series race cars. While the MX-5 Cup teams were competing at Road America, round five and six of the Mazda MX-5 Cup, the 100th car was ordered – a significant milestone for the new Mazda MX-5 Cup race car with PAGID Racing brake performance. Altogether, more than 70 Mazda MX-5 Cup race cars pads have been delivered in less than seven months.
